Believer’s Bible Commentary
William MacDonald
William MacDonald is best remembered as the longtime president of Emmaus Bible College, teacher, Plymouth Brethren theologian and a prolific author of more than 84 books. Born in Massachusetts in 1917, MacDonald graduated from Tufts College in 1938 and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1940. He worked as a bank investment analyst, then served in the Navy. After World War II he joined the faculty of Emmaus Bible College, becoming president in 1959. Leaving the college in 1965, he led a global Bible teaching ministry and served on the faculty of Discipleship Intern Training Program from 1973 until 1996. He remained in Bible teaching ministry until his death in December of 2007.
Arthur L. Farstad
Arthur L. Farstad served as the Executive Editor of the New King James translation of the Bible. Dr. Farstad was a well-respected Greek scholar and theologian having taught at Dallas Theological Seminary in Greek studies. In addition to the NKJV, he served at consulting editor for the New Scofield Study Bible and co-editor of The New Greek Testament According to the Majority Text and served as Editor for the Journal of the Grace Evangelical Society. Dr. Farstad went to be with our Lord in 1998.

The comments that are available have been translated from Dutch into English. It is planned that, God willing, the four lacking comments will be translated and made available in the course of this year 2021. The comments are intended to help you study the Bible personally. The Bible quotations written in full in the commentaries are from the New American Standard Bible-NASB 1995.
The comments on Job, Psalms and Isaiah are written together with Tony Jonathan. The commentary on Ezekiel was written in close collaboration with Ron Vellekoop.
The Bible is the infallible, everlasting Word of God. The Bible is about the Son of God, Who became Man to die on the cross for sinful people. God raised Him from the dead and He is now in heaven. Anyone who confesses his sins and believes in the Son and His work of atonement on the cross will not perish but receive eternal life. Such a person is a child of God. God tells His children in His Word how to live to His glory and all that He intends to give them, because of their connection to His Son.

Es ist vorgesehen, dass, so Gott will, im Laufe der Zeit die fehlenden Kommentare übersetzt und verfügbar gemacht werden. Die Kommentare sollen das persönlich Bibelstudium unterstützen. No New Testament book has caused as much confusion and been subjected to as many varied interpretations as Revelation. Today we continue to witness a surge of popular interest in Bible prophecy and questions concerning such matters as the “last days” and the second coming of Christ. Scholarly debates continue as well, especially regarding the occurrence, timing, and theological significance of the “tribulation” and the “millennium.” It is therefore the special task of the commentator on Revelation to address such difficult questions in a scholarly and responsible manner while also remaining accessible to pastors, students, and general readers.
When first published, this volume on Revelation by Robert H. Mounce was widely praised as a standard commentary on the Apocalypse. First published in 1954, F.F. Bruce’s volume on the Book of Acts in the NICNT series has stood for more than fifty years as a standard commentary on Acts. In keeping with the effort to be faithful to the description “new” in the series title, however, Bruce undertook a thorough revision of this commentary before his death in 1990.
Expanded and fully updated, this volume now reflects the best elements of recent notable contributions to the study of Luke-Acts as well as the author’s own deepened understanding gained from years of further reflection on the text. Whereas the first edition used the text of the American Standard Version of 1901, this revision is based on Bruce’s own fresh translation of the Greek text.
